Its ALMOST Over!!!!!
I can't believe I've survived 10 weeks of nurses school homework! Just have to study for my finals and then I'll be scott free for the winter break! Looking back I can say that I am proud of myself for how I juggled everything, and managed not only to not cry, but never have a moment that I felt I needed to cry. I have learned a lot, I can feel that i have already changed a lot, and I am looking forward to the next 8 quarters, I just hope it goes really really fast!

Finally a HOLIDAY!
So Excited to have a holiday break! Even though its only a few days off, it's going to be so nice to feel like I am getting a break, and then just a few more weeks until the end of the quarter....thank goodness quarters are only 10 weeks I don't think I could survive a semester!

Fighting the Xmas laziness
I love the holidays SO much but I am finding it difficult to remain focused and not start getting into the lazy holiday mood. But only a few more weeks until finals. I CAN DO THIS!!!

Seeing things more clearly...
Friday was my first day in the hospital actually getting to assist with the care for patients, and it was such a fun and positive experience. I was reminded of why I have wanted to work in health care and it inspired me to learn more and work even harder in nursing school. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, granted the light only look like a pen hole right now, but I see it!

Already half way done with my first quarter!
MIDTERMS!!! Whoop!Whoop!
I am really loving this quarter system! It goes so fast you don't have time to think about how swollen your brain is getting from the never ending stream of information! At least the torture isn't prolonged like with semesters!

Surviving the "Firsts" of Nursing School
After all the stress of the first week of nursing school, I decided to take a moment and reflect on all my other firsts in life. My first day back at college, my first writing assignment, the first time my crazy trainer nearly killed me during my first TRX class....and it got me thinking: there are a lot of firsts in life and usually the first is always the hardest.
So I am making a mantra for myself, "This is just the first, and through commitment, determination, and pure will I will NOT allow this to be my last because it will only get easier from here."
